What is SCRIP?
SCRIP is a fundraising program benefiting St. Paul Catholic School and its families. St. Paul purchases gift cards at a discount and, in turn, sells these gift cards at face value. Watch this short video for an introduction to Scrip fundraising.
How does this program benefit St. Paul School and its families?
The rebates on all gift cards purchased goes to help with tuition at the school. The rebate is split with 50 percent going toward the general scholarship fund and 50 percent going to a designated school family. If participants do not designate a school family, their total rebate goes into the general scholarship fund. The rebates are used for the next year’s tuition.
How do participating families benefit?
Participants may retain a portion of the rebates from their purchases in the form of a tuition credit for the following school year. Rebates are distributed annually at the start of each new school year. The portion of the rebate that is donated to the general scholarship fund may be tax deductible.
How much money can a participating family raise?
By simply planning ahead on everyday purchases like groceries, gas, restaurants, clothes, household goods, and more, the average family can raise over $10 a week through the Scrip program. Some Scrip cards, like Speedway, Target and Meijer, are reloadable through the Scrip website.

Can I use scrip to pay department store charge account balances?
Only Kohl’s allows you to pay charge account balances with scrip. The other retailers like Macy's do not. This adds a bit more convenience to using scrip for your Kohl’s purchases. You can charge merchandise to your Kohl’s account and then order scrip certificates to pay the balance. There is less need to plan when you can use scrip this way because you know how much you’ve spent. You do have to pay your Kohl's charge account balance at the Kohl's store when you use a scrip card.
Can any of the SCRIP gift cards be used at other businesses?
Yes! Several of the scrip retailers are owned by the same parent company and when you purchase a certificate, it can be used at any of that company’s stores. Here are some examples of certificates or cards that can be used at several businesses:
